Kjell Klinkenberg of Oslo, Norway, finished two boats in the summer of 2004: a 18' x 25" Cape Charles kayak (CLC designs) and a 16' x 4'5" Shearwater (Joel White). The boys in the pictures are his son Oyvind on the right, and his friend, Inge Svale. Kjell is at the helm.
SHEILA is a Derwent Skiff designed by Allan Witt of Hobart; she is named after my late mother.
PAMELA ANNE is a John L. Hacker 'Flapper' design that was developed back in the 1920's. The plans were originally published in Motorboating magazine about that time.
I launched my boat July 27, 2015, I started the build on December 4, 2014. I have 814 hours in the build. The boat performs very Well. I installed a new 70 HP Yamaha 4 stroke outboard with the command link instrument package. The boat reached 29 MPH at 6200 RPM. Getting 5.4 MPG of fuel.
After he moved toBangladesh with his wife and infant son, Henry Richards of Belmont, Massachusetts, had some free time on his hands. He began perusing WoodenBoat in hopes of finding a boat that was fast and on the easier side to build.

In June 2011, Richard Van Voris, the boatman for the Tabor Academy crew in Marion, Massachusetts, launched a 27′ x12″ single scull designed by Graeme King. Richard built the hull from 1/8″ red cedar strips , reinforced with carbon fiber, and covered with epoxy.
